OUR MISSION
Vast dermatological disparities exist in treatment access and outcomes in underserved countries. Telederm Outreach is founded upon the strong belief that medical progress and technological innovation should be utilized to solve our world's most pressing healthcare issues.
We believe that our strength lies not only in the words we stand by, but most importantly through the actions of our initiatives. Indeed, we aim to find dermatology solutions at the intersection of teamwork, technology, and philanthropy - enabling volunteering dermatologists in the US and Canada to render diagnostic assistance to remote physicians in developing countries.
GENERAL STRATEGY
Face-to-face consultation can sometimes be difficult if not impossible in various situations, whether the patient is too sick to visit or too far away to travel. As such, the use of teledermatology has been successfully used in the US and Canada for underserved rural populations, providing similar clinical outcomes to conventional dermatology.
Our initiatives seeks to expand this budding technology to populations underserved by dermatologists throughout the world. Dermatologists willing to help can now effectively provide advice to physicians in under-resourced areas across the world from their offices and homes.
